Method 3: Manually fix corrupted registry entries
- To launch the Run dialogue box, use the Windows key + R button.
- Type regedit into the Run dialogue box and press Enter.

- In the right pane, look for UpperFilters and LowerFilters.
Note; Try the following technique if you can find these entries.
- Delete these two entries. Verify that either LowerFilters or UpperFilters.bak are being deleted. Bak will only remove the particular entries.
- Close off Registry Editor and reboot the system.

Method 4: Update or reinstall the driver
- To launch the Run dialogue box, use the Windows key + R button.
- Type devmgmt.msc, hit Enter, and
- Expand the DVD/CD-ROM drives section in Device Manager, then right-click on the CD and DVD devices and select Uninstall.
- Give the computer a restart.

- To launch the Run dialogue box, press the Windows key + R.
- Type regedit, hit Enter, and
- Find the next registry key:
- Make a new DWORD EnumDevice1 by selecting the Controller0 key.

- Give the computer a restart.
